Whether you join us in the gentle bloom of spring or the still beauty of winter, our wellness retreats offer a space to truly switch off — from busy routines, from screens, and from the pace of everyday life.
In spring, we stay in a traditional Slovak log cabin nestled in Slovak Paradise National Park. From here, we explore the surrounding forests, walk peaceful trails, and even venture into the majestic Tatra Mountains for a cable car ride and gentle adventures that connect you with the wild beauty of Slovakia.
In winter, the retreat shifts to the quieter east side of the Tatra Mountains, where snow-covered trails, cosy wellness facilities, and mountain air set the scene for true rest. Expect slow, snowy walks, warming food, and daily movement to help you feel grounded and restored.
Each day includes gentle yin yoga – slow, simple, and open to all, whether you’re brand new or experienced. There’s no pressure, no performance – just space to breathe.
We keep things inclusive and easygoing. Most of our guests come solo, but couples and friends are always welcome. Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, a meat-eater, wine-lover or not, you’ll be well looked after.
So, spring or winter — the choice is yours. Both are peaceful, nourishing, and full of the small details that make a trip unforgettable. Come to rest, to reconnect, and to leave feeling more like yourself again.

What is a wellness retreat?
A wellness retreat is an opportunity to slow down, reset, and reconnect – with nature, with yourself, and with the present moment. Our wellness retreats are open to absolutely everyone who feels the need to step away from the pressures of everyday life, whether that’s work, family commitments, or constant digital noise. Rather than strict schedules or intense programmes, our retreats focus on gentle movement, time outdoors, relaxation, and space to simply be. You can take part as much or as little as you like. The aim is not transformation or perfection – it’s rest, balance, and enjoyment in a beautiful natural setting.
Who are the wellness retreats suitable for?
Our wellness retreats are suitable for all adults (18+), regardless of background, fitness level, or experience. You don’t need to be “into wellness” already, and you certainly don’t need to be a yogi or a fitness enthusiast. Most guests join because they want to slow down, recharge, and spend time in nature. Our typical age range is between 30 and 65, but anyone over 18 is welcome.
How physically demanding is the wellness retreat?
The wellness retreats are easy-paced and low intensity, however a good fitness level is still required. Activities are designed to be gentle and accessible, with plenty of time to rest and relax. Any walking or outdoor activities are slow and scenic rather than challenging or strenuous. This is not an adventure holiday or a fitness bootcamp – it’s about calm movement, fresh air, and enjoying the surroundings at your own pace.
What is the yoga like? Do I need experience?
The yoga sessions are gentle Yin-style yoga, focused on relaxation, stretching, and mindfulness rather than strength or flexibility. You do not need any prior yoga experience to take part. Everything is suitable for complete beginners, and poses can always be adapted. There is no pressure to “perform” or push yourself – the sessions are about listening to your body and relaxing into the movement.
Do I have to take part in yoga or activities?
No – absolutely not. This is your retreat and your holiday. If you don’t feel like joining a yoga session, walk, or other activity, you are more than welcome to stay at the hotel, relax, read a book, enjoy the spa facilities (where available), or simply do your own thing. Participation in all activities is optional.
Food, Lifestyle & Atmosphere
Is there a strict diet or wellness food plan? No. We do not follow strict diets, detox plans, or food rules. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, or a meat eater, you are welcome. If you enjoy a glass of wine, that’s absolutely fine too. The focus is on balance and enjoyment, not restriction. Dietary requirements and preferences can be catered for, but there is no pressure to eat or live in a certain way during the retreat.
Is this a digital detox retreat?
The retreat naturally encourages a digital detox, but it is not enforced. Many guests choose to limit phone use, emails, and social media during their stay, as the peaceful surroundings make it easier to switch off. You are free to stay connected if you need to, but most people find that spending time in nature, away from screens, is one of the most refreshing parts of the experience.
What should I bring to a wellness retreat?
You don’t need any specialist equipment. Comfortable clothing, walking/hiking boots that cover your ankle ideally, and something warm for cooler evenings are usually sufficient. A full packing list and detailed itinerary will be sent to you approximately two months before departure, so you’ll know exactly what to bring.
What is the weather like in Slovakia?
Slovakia has a seasonal climate, and weather can vary depending on the time of year. While days can be warm and pleasant, especially in summer, mountain weather can change quickly. We cannot guarantee specific weather conditions for any month, so we recommend packing layers and being prepared for change. Seasonal information is explained on the website.
Is the tap water safe to drink?
Yes. Tap water in Slovakia is excellent quality and completely safe to drink. There is no need to buy bottled water during your stay.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes, travel insurance is strongly recommended for all guests attending our wellness retreats. Your policy should cover medical expenses, trip cancellation, and general travel issues. We also provide a recommended travel insurance provider via the link here.
Are the retreats guided?
Yes. Retreat activities are hosted and guided by experienced, English-speaking hosts and instructors who create a relaxed, welcoming environment. There is no pressure or expectation – just gentle guidance and support.
Can I come on my own?
Absolutely. Many guests join our wellness retreats as solo travellers. The atmosphere is friendly, relaxed, and social without being overwhelming. You can be as social or as private as you like.
Are flights included?
No, flights are not included. Each traveller is responsible for booking these themselves.
